Latino Resources is a 501(c)3 that actively works to foster Latinx leadership in Northern Cook County through student success and civic engagement. Drawing from the organization’s structural pillars of community, commitment, and connection, Latino Resources commits to providing Latinx youth with scholarship funding, mentorship, and a community where Latinx students and their families feel safe.
More than ever, the Latinx community has seen the need for its next-generation to rise as the leaders we know them to be. Latino Resources encourages Latinx students to achieve greater heights by emphasizing the importance of college completion, civic engagement, and community building as the foundation for redirecting outcomes for the Latinx community.
The Latino Resources Scholarship Fund is the first step to cultivating the next generation of leaders. By providing Latinx students with scholarships and mentorship from Latinx professionals, they can better navigate their college experience and build their networks in preparation for their professional lives.
Latino Resources believes that long-lasting solutions require civic engagement. This includes grass-roots organizing, providing accurate information, working alongside government, and, most important, improving Latinx voter turn-out on election day.
Latino Resources believes it is essential to continuously grow and cultivate partnerships in the community to bring together solutions. By engaging both the Latinx and non-Latinx stakeholders, Latino Resources has been the catalyst for positive change for the Latinx community.
