Jasmine Jetton-Gonzalez is an Evanstonian and recent graduate of University of Illinois, Springfield where she earned her Master’s in Public Administration. As an ISACorps member, her expertise as a college and career advisor for students applying to and entering college is set to positively impact Latino Resources student success mission.

Franklin Ortega is a graduate student at Northeastern Illinois University. As a Latino leader, he mentors underrepresented students to ensure they achieve their college completion goals. Franklin supports all Latino Resources programs and advocacy for the Illinois Access Bill.

Alejandra Herrera is an Evanstonian pursuing an associate’s degree in nursing. After graduation, she plans to pursue a bachelor of science in nursing. She is a first-generation college student and is passionate about supporting the Latino community.

Angie Solano became the first Latino Resources Young Adult Board Director in 2013. She is majoring in Latina/o and Latin American Studies with plans to pursue a graduate degree. She serves as a Deputy Registrar for Latino Resources civic engagement team.

Dr. Isidro Lucas is a lifetime Latino community activist, founding member of Chicago Latino Film Festival, Spanish television producer, retired professor and author of The Browning of America: The Hispanic Revolution in the American Church. His wisdom serves as guidance for leadership policies.

Aaron Becker received a 2007 Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching. He has traveled the world as an educational ambassador for cross-cultural literacy and global understanding. His expertise supports Latino Resources student success initiatives.

Stephen Starr is Principal of Stephen B. Starr Design, Inc., a design and communication consultancy in Evanston, IL. Stephen is a former president of the Chicago Creative Coalition and founder and organizer of the Chicago Web Professionals. Stephen designs web-based and print communication and helps organizations create language to strengthen their identity/brand. He is interested in social justice issues including access to eduction, healthcare and opportunity for all.

Dr. Elena Garcia Ansani is the visionary Founder of Latino Resources. Her leadership transformed a grassroots organization into a thriving programmatic evidence based operation built upon strategic capacity building initiatives. Her expertise with practitioner research led the charge for the implementation of culturally responsive student success programs and services for high school and college students that guide Latino Resources mission for increasing Latino leadership through college completion and civic engagement.
